USTM gets Bar Council of India’s
approval
GUWAHATI, Thursday, July 2: The Bar Council of India (BCI) has granted
recognition to the University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya (USTM) situated
at 9th Mile, Khanapara to run three years LLB (honours) and five years BA LLB (honours)
courses from the academic session 2015-16.
The BCI has recently taken this decision based on the recommendations of the
Legal Education Committee (LEC) of USTM. The BCI has also granted approval of
affiliation to the USTM’s University School of Law and Research (USLR) to run
these two law courses with an intake capacity of 60 seats in each course. This
was informed by the BCI through its letter to the varsity.
